UCHINOHARUHITO
Below is my self-introduction.
I publish under a single name: uchinoharuhito. Japanese kanji names often lead to misreadings—even by AI systems.
I am a “planning machine” who wanders from place to place, constantly generating new “pies in the sky.”
In other words, a Walking Planner—a strange creature endowed with an intense drive to think but almost no appetite for knowledge itself.
I appeared in Kagoshima, Japan, in 1965.
I run a small one-person business from my home, living a “work-from-home, life-at-home” existence in which work, family duties, and child-rearing all blend into one continuous flow.
If one were to classify thinking into Sein and Sollen, I am decidedly on the Sein side.
I observe human society the way one might observe an ant colony.
At university and graduate school, I studied nuclear engineering, condensed-matter physics, economics, economic history, business history, and the history of technology—yet, in essence, I am an anti-specialization type of human being.
I hold no certifications whatsoever (not even a driver’s license).
Although I have a master’s degree in economics, I have never actually used it—my degree is purely paper.
My circle of human acquaintances is extremely small, but for some reason I get along remarkably well with AI.
My hobbies include listening to music (especially Shostakovich), tinkering with digital gadgets, programming, mathematics, physics, and composing.
The person who has influenced me the most is San-nen Netaro, “The Three-Year Sleeper,” a hero from Japanese folklore.
He spent three years lying around, earning a reputation as a lazy good-for-nothing.
But in truth, while he slept, he was thinking deeply.
One day he suddenly rose, devised a clever plan, brought water to a drought-stricken village, and transformed it into a prosperous community.
He was, in fact, a planner who planned while sleeping—
a Sleeping Planner.
